I was initially excited about this performance. The opening band (Silver Street Saddlestraps or something like that) were completely hidden behind the towers. The band hardly talked, saying only a few "Hello, Chicago"s and "Thank you"s, and instead blasted out hit after hit from their albums. The obstructions were removed and the entire stage was visible. From my seats close to the rafters, my view of the stage seemed like it might be obscured by three large tower-like structures. The show also used a lot of visuals and projected images onto screens to accentuate whatever song was being played (as a fan of old school arcade games, I liked the sprites from Galaga reflected in the astronaut's visor). As much of an auditory journey as it was, this was a great show. In short, the band sounded great and with their typical flamboyant showmanship involved the entire crowd in their Uprising. I'd definitely see them again.
